Message from Mr Rob Northfield
Most people will now be aware that recently I agreed to commit time to Tadcaster Albion and take over from Paul Marshall as Chairman next season. I want to ensure we build on the success this year and consolidate, rather than, as most clubs do, take two steps forward and two steps back.
However, firstly I would like to give my personal congratulations for the extreme hard work that has been the reason for the success of Paul Marshall and his Management Team, the playing staff, the vital back room team and last, but certainly not least, the die-hard supporters who attend in all weather.
To achieve Champions status in any Football League, at any level, is a major achievement and as we know that the North East Counties First and Premier leagues (as Tadcaster Albion now make their way to the Unibond), are amongst the most difficult, I make no apologies for congratulating everybody again on the wonderful success.
Over the coming weeks there will be meetings during which we will start to develop our plans for the future and to ensure we do our best to build on the wonderful success over the last 18 months.
Finally, I have said on many occasions that a successful football club depends on every department being supported, not only in numbers, but in passion and desire. Every team on Planet Earth wants to win, but only a very small number decide that they are going to win and that obviously happened this season at Tadcaster Albion. So once again and no apologies, a very big congratulations to all that contributed towards the success.
